2016. This year has been one of the best for me. Personally, academically, and professionally.
This year I traversed the Atlantic for the first time, visited 18 states, and met all of my photography goals! I also graduated college with a Bachelors of Fine Art with an emphasis in Design. The past two years business has boomed, and it’s been amazing! I have worked every weekend that I wanted to work and have so many clients-turned-friends. I have watched babies be born and people get married. This year has been a year of discovery as I try to figure out just what I want to photograph. I ask myself: what is it that you want to photograph every day when you wake up? Over the past seven years, I have photographed just about anything that falls into my lap from senior photos to factories. It’s so hard for me to decided what I want to focus on in the future because I do love a challenge, and I love photo jobs being very unique form each other.
Preparing this blog post has really helped me figure out what it is I like. Everything in this gallery I love. I loved shooting it, I loved editing it, and I love looking at it.
Here is what it boils down to. I want to photograph life.
I want to photograph your wedding, and then I want to photograph your babies. I am a lifestyle photographer through and through. Allow me into your home and I will photograph your family just as you are.
My desire is to form solid relationships with those who trust me document their lives. And I don’t just want to do it Tennessee. I want to travel the country and make friends all over.
That’s my goal for 2017.
Well, here we go. SO MANY PHOTOS. 2016 in a single blog post.
